Kinship.
Fellowship.
Communion.
These are ideas I’d like to explore in this performance at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Evanston, Illinois on Sunday, July 10. Although we’ll be in a church, I’m not talking about the bread and wine variety of communion. I’m talking about communion with the non-human world, something our ancestors enjoyed that many of us in the modern world are seeking to recover.
We’ll explore these ideas through song at this interactive, one-hour, family-friendly performance. I’ll play piano and guitar and sing, like always. But I hope that everyone will be singing along, too. So bring your voices and your children and let’s dive into a shared musical experience of communion with one another, with the land, and Earth herself. Through music!
