Earth Chats Pod

It takes a village to make a podcast.

Earth Chats was  introduced in 2019. The show illuminates the transformative work of SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education), an award-winning non-profit in DuPage County.  Earth Chats inspires listeners to live their most sustainable lives.

Kay McKeen, Heather Goudreau and Erin Kennedy (pictured above) represent the work of SCARCE in each episode. Louise’s mother, Carol Richart serves as the interview director, and her daughter, Bella Kelly, sound engineer.

Louise produces the show, drawing on her music production skills, and background in education. She also serves as creative director and composer. You’ll hear her cheerful original song in the opening and closing sequence of each show.

On Earth Day, April 22, 2019, this show was born. Now in its fourth season, it’s among the “60 of the best podcasts on sustainable living” according to the ReduceReuseRenew.com. It is also featured on the DuPage County, IL website, as an excellent resource for tips and recycling and community events.

Episodes cover a wide range of topics:  Earth Day, Trees, Gardening, Plastics, Permaculture, Zero-Waste living, Solar energy, Recycling, Sustainable Shopping, and more.
